Roderick August has been with RGGC since the very beginning and he brings to our organization a fierce loyalty and excellent carpentry skills.  He loves watching the progress of projects and enjoys the feeling of accomplishment that accompanies seeing the finished product, knowing the part he played in getting it done.

Growing up in a small community in St. Charles Parish, he loves the outdoors, particularly fishing.  And when the fish aren’t biting, he likes to work on restoring his 1974 Chevy Caprice.  Roderick is particularly proud of his four sons.

As the proverbial middle child in a family of nine children, David never missed an opportunity to hang out with his Dad when he went to work.  At five years old after visiting his first job site, he immediately became enamored with the sights and sounds of construction on a very up close and personal level.  As Vice President of Contracting and Estimating at RGGC, David has honed his construction skills over the years.  His first love is historic restoration and renovation, and is very proud of his association with the Cabildo Restoration, French Market Building ‘D’, Myrtle Banks Redevelopment and the Edible Schoolyard Teaching Kitchen.

As an avid enthusiast of good food and wine, dining out and cooking-in hold equal sway for David.  He also regularly attends LPO performances and Broadway shows at the Saenger Theater.

David is a native of Baton Rouge and began his construction career there while he was attending college at LSU before he came to Ryan Gootee in December 2020.  His interest in construction began at an early age and was further encouraged while spending time hunting turkeys in central Louisiana with his great uncle, who was also in construction.

David is an avid LSU fan who attends every home football game and has been all over the country to see his Tigers play ball, win-or-lose.  He’s also a devoted Saints fan and hopes one day to have season tickets.

David enjoys spending time with his family and particularly enjoys duck hunting, fishing, going to the beach, and snow skiing.  He enjoys travel and has been on several trips to Europe visiting France, Scotland, Hungary, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.  While not traveling, hunting, or watching football, David can usually be found at his family’s camp near Folsom, LA with his Dad and his dog, Otis.

It’s hard to find a nicer guy than Greg Cusimano who begins every day with a can-do attitude and a ready smile.  As a superintendent with over twenty years’ experience, he is eager to do whatever it takes to get the job done and please our clients.

His wife calls him a whittler because he loves to hole up in his shed and carve hiking sticks and knife handles to give as gifts.  More than likely Greg is listening to Marty Robbins or Frankie Laine, two of his favorite “old” country singers.  He is super proud of his kids and can often be found coaching their sports teams.

As Chief Operating Officer, Michael is responsible for the day to day operations of the company as well as the creation and implementation of strategic goals and initiatives. Michael thoroughly enjoys mentoring his co-workers and watching them grow and excel in their respective roles so that they may achieve their utmost potential. A firm believer in continuing education, Michael earned his Master’s in Construction Management. Additionally, he is a LEED Accredited professional.

Michael is an active participant in Vistage, a professionally facilitated advisory peer group. Additionally, he is a member of the unCommon Construction board, a non-profit organization that uses the build process to empower youth to lead the workforce after high school or college.

An athlete and outdoors enthusiast who enjoys bike rides, playing soccer, skiing in the Colorado mountains, and fishing in the Louisiana marsh, Michael is also an avid sports fan and a season tickets supporter of the New Orleans Saints. Michael and his wife Tracy have three children: Logan, Julian, and Séverine.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Keith Dwyer graduated from Holy Cross High School and became interested in construction after working as a laborer.  He attended the Carpenters Local Union Apprentice Program and has enjoyed construction for almost 40 years.  He joined RGGC in 2012 and supervised the Harrah’s Casino Buffet and Hotel Renovation.  Working on historic projects offers challenges and rewards.  “I like seeing old construction preserved for future generations.”

When not working, he enjoys the peacefulness of the outdoors and hunting and fishing.  He spends many Sunday afternoons cheering on the New Orleans Saints.

With a catching smile and sweet, southern drawl, Seth Fuselier’s “get-it-done” attitude is infectious. Growing up in Lafayette, it was a given that Seth would attend ULL where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduation Seth worked as a freight equipment logistics coordinator, but had a desire to make the transition into construction so he went back to school to work on a Post Baccalaureate in Construction Management.  Now a part of the family here at RGGC, Seth enjoys the challenges of learning more about General Contracting as well as exploring his new “hometown” of New Orleans. The perfect spot for an avid music lover.

When not at work you can find Seth catching up on local sports teams, cooking, or training his puppy Willa.

Jacob grew up not far from New Orleans in Picayune, MS, where he enjoyed working with his grandfather and father on miscellaneous improvement projects on their property. Coming from a family with multiple engineering backgrounds, Jacob’s journey led him to Mississippi State where he majored in Civil & Environmental Engineering. After graduation, Jacob chose the construction career path which took him to Georgia, and soon after Tennessee where he worked for a local general contractor focusing mainly on renovation/revitalization projects in the downtown Memphis area.

In his spare time, Jacob enjoys watching sports, working out, traveling, fishing and spending time with his amazing wife and dog.

Robert began his construction career at a young age working after school at his family’s design & drafting business. While at LSU for Construction Management, Robert worked for a contractor restoring historic homes in the downtown Baton Rouge area. After returning to New Orleans, Robert worked for an industrial contractor for 7 years before joining the RGGC team.

When not at work Robert loves spending time with his wife and two-year-old son. As a New Orleans native, Robert also has a passion for live music, great food and good times.

Building on a legacy that has spanned four generations, Ryan Gootee continued on the construction path that began with his grandfather in 1909.  At an early age, he began his career working on projects during the summers at his father’s company.

In 2004, he founded Ryan Gootee General Contractors, which has since delivered multiple educational facilities, athletic complexes, restaurants, condominiums, apartments, offices, retail developments, historical renovations and restorations to the greater New Orleans area.

Ryan enjoys many hobbies and passions outside of work. He is an avid outdoorsman with duck hunting and saltwater fishing topping the list. His strong belief in giving back to his community is evidenced by the time he has spent serving on several non-profit boards and committees. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara and their three children, Grace, Harrison and Henry.

Growing up in Chalmette, LA, Greg spent most of his childhood assisting his father with residential HVAC projects as well as helping family with other misc. construction projects. His experience throughout his childhood is what led him to LSU, where he studied Construction Management. After graduating in 2011, Greg spent time as a Field Technician for Structural Engineer, then assisted Residential General Contractor before being hired at a Commercial General Contractor.

When Greg is not on the jobsite or in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching and playing sports, and following the stock market.

When Katie is not wearing her hardhat and safety vest, you can find her learning new recipes, exercising, reading books, and anxiously awaiting Mardi Gras. A few fun facts about Katie, she is a self-taught juggler, can say her ABC’s backward, and is a master of DYI projects.

With a unique background in operations and finance management, Chad is adept in problem-solving and budgeting with more than 15 years in managing multi-million dollar projects and initiatives.  He takes great pride in providing a quality product to our clients.  The recent completion of a building renovation at 711 Camp Street and the remodeling of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Offices in the Superdome are two of his favorite projects.

Family time is important to Chad and he combines his love of soccer with watching his sons’ games.  His interest in cars has deepened his knowledge and appreciation of classic cars and he is not averse to whipping up something in the kitchen just for fun.

Anne Macklin

Anne Macklin’s journey to New Orleans from the Mid-West took a circuitous route when she was recruited by Disney for an internship during her first semester at the University of Iowa. After 20 years of marketing experience and dealing with visiting celebrities to Walt Disney World, she is more than ready to take on all of the Human Resources responsibilities as well as other accounting functions here at RGGC.  It’s not long before her warm and welcoming personality coupled with that friendly Mid-West accent, which she has yet to shake, guarantees your every problem will be handled and handled well.

As an obsessive Chicago Cubs fan, baseball was a significant part of her life growing up. Being a history nerd, Anne looks forward to immersing herself in the culture and history of New Orleans.  Historic renovations are of particular interest to her after growing up in an historic 1880’s home which was lovingly restored over the years.  She enjoys her adorable, but rather unruly dog, Charley, traveling and planning trips, swimming, biking and dining.  Looks like she’s come to the right place!

As a native New Orleanian, Lizzie’s love for the city has driven her career.  She knows that small businesses are the heart of the city and has enjoyed working in the accounting field to help them grow.  She believes that accounting is a vital part of keeping a business organized and focused on the future and looks forward to having that role at RGGC.

When she’s not at work, Lizzie loves trying new restaurants around town and revisiting old favorites.  She has an affinity for art and creating art in different formats, and looks forward to Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest every year.  Lizzie has two children, Jack and Penny.

As a North Shore native, it is no surprise that David Perilloux grew up enjoying fishing and hunting.  He got the construction bug shortly after graduating from high school.  As a superintendent he brings many years of construction experience and takes pride in his attention to detail.  Since being with RGGC, he has dealt with such varied projects as building a home for elephants at the zoo, building sports facilities and seeing historic projects come to fruition.

David is a deacon at the Bedico Baptist Church.  He enjoys spending time with family, barbecuing, helping his twin sons work on their trucks and training his chocolate Lab.

As a superintendent at RGGC, Chris has spent a majority of his time working at the numerous projects we have done at Jesuit High School.  He has derived a great deal of pride in seeing the completion of work on the campus and has enjoyed the relationships he has built with the staff there.

Chris takes full advantage of the boot camp offered weekly at RGGC as well as enjoying frequent visits to the gym.  That allows him to pursue his other passion of cooking and trying new restaurants.  And consistent with many team members here, he loves hunting, fishing and watching football.

Lamar has grown up in the commercial construction industry, starting as an assistant superintendent in Mt Airy, NC, then moving to Mississippi, and then eventually New Orleans.  44 years later, RGGC is thrilled to have someone as experienced in structural concrete and structural/cold formed steel join the team. Tilt-up panels, building slabs, and large concrete paving projects are just part of Lamar’s expertise. He takes great pride in historical remodeling/renovating schools, churches, and retail buildings.

He’s humble with his vast construction knowledge and believes there’s always something new to learn. Lamar enjoys work and the satisfaction that it brings, “To be able to physically create someone’s dreams and see the look in their eyes is something I thoroughly like to do at each and every project.” He’s been known to keep a jovial, yet professional, job site.

Lamar recently inherited the family homestead in Picayune, MS, so in his free time you’ll likely find him renovating his home, spending time with family, or enjoying the outdoors while fishing.

Randy Robert

Randy Robert is a self-described West Banker, born and raised in Marrero, LA.  He started in construction due to the devastating May 3, 1978 flood which inundated his grandfather’s home and many of his neighbors’ houses as well.  Helping family and friends restore their homes, he became enthralled with construction and decided to follow that career path.  Randy is a devoted superintendent and our clients love his willingness to go the extra mile in making their project his number one priority.

One of Randy’s most memorable projects was supervising the construction of the Cancer Survivor’s Plaza on Loyola Avenue.  A local artist worked with children who were surviving and fighting cancer to create a monument to their efforts.  It created a lasting memory for Randy.

In his free time he enjoys traveling, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his family.

Andrew, a Metairie resident, has lived in the Kenner/Metairie area his entire life.  His first taste of construction came after Hurricane Katrina, where he helped rebuild houses for a residential contractor in the Lakeview area.  His passion for helping rebuild the city led him to pursue a degree in construction management at LSU.  Since graduating from LSU, Andrew has worked in the construction industry for 10+ years most extensively in deep foundations as a subcontractor.  Andrew has two incredible young boys and has been married to the love of his life for over 7 years.  When Andrew isn’t working or spending time with his family, you will most definitely find him on a golf course.

Born in the 9th Ward and raised in St. Bernard Parish this Northshore resident has never strayed far from his roots. Growing up in the roofing business fostered his interest in the construction industry.  His father was the owner of Hibernia Roofing of New Orleans where he would work weekends and summers helping with the family business.

Upon graduation from the University of New Orleans he worked in the insurance industry for 15 years but always had the desire to return to construction.  He has been both a project manager and estimator in the greater New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas for the past 18 years.

Always with a smile on his face his goal is to make the people he contacts smile as well.  He has been married to his wife Lisa for 36 years and has 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. When not working, David enjoys cooking, hunting, and traveling.

Eric, a native of Baton Rouge, returned to RGGC as an Assistant Project Manager after interning the previous summer. Eric’s construction experience started at an early age as he worked summers for his dad’s construction company. His interest in construction management grew and he followed in his father’s path earning a BS in Construction Management from LSU in May 2018.

Eric’s love for the “LSU Tigers” is tried and true. He attended the University’s Laboratory School for 13 years and then crossed the street to begin his college career. He was active on campus as a member of the LSU Wakeboarding Club and LSU Rugby Club.

Giving back to the community is something Eric was taught at an early age. He co-founded a project “Paws for a Cause” dedicated to helping underprivileged children and their families with food and clothing.
Outside of work Eric enjoys spending weekends at his family’s home on Lake St. John. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys boating, wakeboarding, fishing, and hunting whatever is in season, especially gators. He has a love for travel, that started with family vacations and that led him to study abroad in South Africa. Trips that top his list include scuba diving in the Grenadines and skiing in Colorado. His other interests include bike riding, cooking and watching football. Eric looks forward to immersing himself into the unique culture of New Orleans.

As vice president of communications and business development, Kristian is responsible for all elements of the company’s branding and public relations efforts. Kristian is a veteran communications professional, and is charged with developing and maintaining relationships that lead to new construction projects and repeat clients.

He believes that everything communicates something and enjoys working with a team to ensure that communicating on behalf of Ryan Gootee General Contractors is planned and executed strategically, accurately and effectively.

Kevin Sprehe

Kevin’s theme song could probably be Climb Every Mountain.  A Colorado native who grew up in Colorado Springs, early on Kevin embraced the beautiful outdoors in the Rockies and took to snow skiing and mountain climbing.  His athleticism also led him to enjoy basketball, baseball, golf, swimming, tennis and ultimately soccer which he played on the Division 1 level at the University of Denver.

His experience in construction began by working part time in his father’s framing and drywall business and then for a small general contractor in Colorado Springs.  But meeting his true love in 2008 led him to balmy and flat Louisiana to pursue his career further in building.  It is no surprise that three of Kevin’s favorite projects were Myrtle Banks Redevelopment, Wesley Barrow Stadium and John Ryan Stadium.

Kevin and his wife are very involved in their Church parish and are kept quite busy with their growing family, exposing them to new adventures. But he hasn’t lost sight of his goal to climb every mountain in Colorado over 14,000 feet with 13 down and 45 to go.

Rock Sumrall

Self-described speed enthusiast, Rock Sumrall likes fast boats, fast motorcycles and fast cars.  Luckily that also translates into supervising fast paced jobs like the recently completed Fogo de Chao, a $7 Million dollar restaurant renovation with a completely redesigned front façade of the JW Marriott Hotel that was completed in six months.  He began his career in the fire service industry but moved into construction by building custom homes on the Northshore.  With over 35 years in commercial construction, he brings an extensive knowledge of managing budgets and pleasing clients.

Rock’s idea of a good time is long motorcycle rides on country roads with family and friends and kayaking with his daughter, listening to classic country music and working in his shop at home.

It’s never hard to figure out when Pat will be taking vacation days, if you check the hunting schedule.  Hunting and fishing were his two main passions that is, until recently, when his life changed with the birth of his daughter.  Being the owner of probably the worst taxidermy rendition of a duck, his office still proclaims his favorite hobby as does his membership in Ducks Unlimited.

Discovering a career in construction after trying his hand at other things, well, he took to it like a duck to water.  He has overcome some amazing challenges in some projects but is most proud of building an office building on a barge for Crescent Towing and the many jobs he has completed at his Alma Mater, Jesuit.

Stephen Vicknair

Stephen has been working as a carpenter for nearly 25 years.  Actually longer, if you count his early childhood years tinkering in his families garage or in wood shop at school.  He’s always had a passion for working with wood, and creating something functional and unique out of timber. Always fiddling with wood, it was no surprise Stephen would grow up with this career path.  Stephen has spent his entire career in the New Orleans area. Projects range from billboard signs to renovating local schools and historical buildings.

In his spare time Stephen enjoys the outdoors and cheering on his Saints!

Roy Vortisch

Roy has been in the construction industry for over 45 years.  He grew up in Gentilly where his Father and Uncle were both Project Superintendents. Two notable projects that his family were a part of are the Belle Chase Tunnel and Municipal Auditorium. Roy attended John F. Kennedy High School on Wisner Blvd and received an Associate of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering.

In Roy’s spare time you can find him fishing or listening to oldies music while rebuilding or riding motorcycles. He is often entering in jambalaya and crawfish cookoffs where he frequently wins. Roy has also been a Saints season ticket holder since 1982 and for the past 11 seasons he has been attending games with his oldest grandson.

Bryce Wibbenmeyer

Bryce grew up in the small, southeast Missouri town of Sikeston. He spent many days as a child at his grandparents’ house, where his grandfather built furniture in his shop to sell at their craft store. His first real construction project was at age 13 helping his uncle turn a basement into a company office. After a brief stint at Southern Miss, Bryce moved back to Sikeston and began working for his cousin’s general contracting company before he began traveling the country with a  general contracting company.

Bryce has been visiting the city that he loves, New Orleans for over 10 years, and finally 4 years ago he moved here. In his spare time, Bryce enjoys watching and playing all sports, LSU Tigers, traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with his amazing fiancé Morgan and their husky, Paco. Bryce is a member of the Sikeston Jaycees, a non-profit 501 C3, where he held numerous board positions. He is a past co-chairman of the entertainment division for the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo, one of the largest outdoor rodeos in the country, in which they put on a concert after the rodeo concludes. He also founded the Sikeston Jaycee/Health Facilities Rehab Crawfish Boil and Music Festival, in which all proceeds are donated back into the community. For this, Bryce received the award as the youngest “Jaycee of the Year” in club history.

Todd Whitlock

Todd’s love of construction began at a very young age.  His Dad was a construction foreman who also was a cabinet maker on the side.  Watching his Dad inspired him to pursue a career which ultimately led him to RGGC as a superintendent.  Todd’s favorite projects include the Terrebonne General Oncology Center, the Lighthouse for the Blind Office Building and the GE Office at Place St. Charles.

As a proud Lafourche Parish native, Todd is a member of the Gheens Foundation which strives to improve the quality of life for all citizens and institutions in the area.  For just relaxing, nothing beats, fishing, hunting and camping in the outdoors and attending sports events.
