RGGC Begins Renovation at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church
Work began this month on the renovation of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
Ryan Gootee, CEO of Ryan Gootee General Contractors, said the work includes installation of new electrical and mechanical systems, and renovations to the church’s penance chapel, brides’ room and restrooms. The church’s stucco walls will be repaired, replaced and painted, and its wood floors will be refinished. The project also includes some minor exterior repairs.
The first floor of the rectory will be renovated to support the administration and mission work of the Center of Jesus the Lord. A new stair tower and roof will be added to the building. The rectory and church will also get upgraded entrances that will be accessible to those with disabilities. The entire project is expected to take about nine months to complete.
